Since I have extensive background in selling software online, I can attest that there are some niches that are extremely profitable. Helpdesk software is just such a niche.

So what’s a helpdesk? Essentially, helpdesk is a central point through which problems/issues are reported and subsequently managed/co-ordinated. From a wider perspective, it is also seen as core part of the service function, responsible for bringing together multiple resources to address an issue.

Helpdesk software simply automates the process, cutting on the number of employees necessary to handle these issues and expediting the process of solving these problems.

If you’ve never heard about helpdesk software, I advise you first visit sites of some of the helpdesk software makers. Here are a random three.

The cheapest helpdesk software that I came across was $190. That’s for a single license for a mom-and-pop type shop. A corporate license can cost anywhere between $1000 and $50000, so helpdesk software developers aren’t too stingy with their ad budgets.

In order not to violate Google TOS, I rate niches with my own star system. ** - $0.20-$0.30 per click average, *** - $0.30-$0.50 per click average, **** - $0.50-$0.70 per click average, ***** - $0.70-$1.20 per click average. While I don’t mind sharing information on ***** niches, I don’t make this information publicly available because it would quickly kill these niches or get Google pissed off at me.

All AdSense niches were tested by me personally and your results shouldn’t be very different, unless your account was smart-priced, too much time passed since my testing, MFA got a hold of the niche or your site or traffic source sucks big time.
