My name is Dmitri Davydov and I am an avid ‘niche collector’. Seriously, I love niches. I first got interested in AdSense niches couple years ago, when I accidentally found out that you can make either $0.02 or $2.42 per click. The difference? Topic of your article. Basically, I post off the wall articles on a variety of different topics (MBA preparation, veneer logs, dog training, transgender issues, car donations) and track how well they do with AdSense in terms of per click averages. And I make my observations available to you, free of charge. I also collect stories about unusual online and offline businesses that you can read. Finally, there is a marketing section at this website, where you can find various tricks that can quickly double or quadruple your revenue. In addition to that, you are free to contribute your own tips, ideas and articles to NicheGeek.Com.

Slot Machine, Casino Slot Machines, Pachislo - *** Niche

Slot machines is a quite interesting niche. I think that when people search for “slot machines”, most of them want free online games.

But a small section of searchers look for real casino slot machines or old antique slot machines or legal slot machines for home entertainment. Some people search for particular slot machine brand name, like Pachislo (there are some others, but only Pachislo seems to provide decent payout).

There are some really nutty products related to slot machines. For example, there are a number of books and online courses for the winning “slot machine system”. Actually, slot machines provide the worst pay out in the entire gaming industry and there is no “system” to follow. But whatever.

Email Marketing - *** to ****Niche

Email marketing is just a nice word for “legal spam”. There are hundreds of thousands of opt-in lists which give list owners a right to send emails in bulk, without fear of being punished.

But we are not moralists here – email marketing is a great niche that keeps performing very well, despite that fact that this key phrase has been on many keyword lists and there are thousands MFA sites created for it.

Some of the email marketing key phrases that worked for me include “opt-in email marketing”, “email marketing list”, "bulk email" and “targeted email marketing”.

Puneet Nanda was like many parents: He couldn't get his five-year-old daughter to brush her teeth properly. But unlike most parents, Nanda is a toothbrush manufacturer with an irrepressible entrepreneurial drive that his daughter was fascinated by her sneakers with flashing lights, he ripped the lights out of her shoes and put them on a toothbrush. That didn't work, so "I went to Disneyland that evening and bought everything that lit up," says Nanda, now 38. The second prototype was more successful. His daughter brushed for a good two minutes before asking: "Dad, will this ever stop, or should I brush my teeth off?"

MBA, MBA School, MBA Program - **** Niche

I think that MBA degrees are grossly overrated and the value of one is at best questionable, but more and more people pursue MBA diplomas, believing that’s their ticket to a six figure salary.

But that’s just me. Back to MBA. I’ve found that MBA schools and MBA programs are the two best niches to pursue. First, they pay very well, second it’s VERY easy to find information on various MBA programs.

Not only most universities provide plenty of information online, there are tons of MBA related resources, such as MBA program ratings, the average salaries for alumni, and so on. Every business magazine thinks it’s a great idea to release their business school ratings once a year.

How To Make $900,000 A Year, Selling Unicycles Online

Unicycling enthusiast John Drummond, a technical writer at IBM, decided it might be fun to sell a few cycles over the Internet. Seven months after unicycle.com debuted in 1999, Drummond, of Marietta, Ga., was so overwhelmed by demand that he enlisted the help of his wife, Amy.

The pair soon sped sales up from $150,000 in 1999 to $900,000 this year. No, there wasn't an inexplicable uptick in the clown population. They attribute their success to a straightforward Internet domain name.

The amazing advantages a street-savvy near-illiterate hustler has versus a fancy MBA with years of book-learnin’ under his Gucci

I’ve never held a grudge against anyone with a fancy Master’s degree in business. I’ve never trusted them, and gotten a few fired. But I’ve never held a grudge.

I just can’t understand what sort of moron would look around and decide that, yeah, that’s the ticket: Academia must be the place to go learn how to make a fortune in bidniz.

Listen: If you’re a surgeon about to cut me open, then I want you to have a dozen years of schooling behind you at a good teaching hospital.

But if you’re going to launch a marketing campaign to sell something, I’d have to take you out back and knock the MBA bullshit out of you before I’d feel safe having you make even the most harmless decision.

DSL - **** Niche

I use DSL personally and I’m willing to bet any money, once you try DSL, you are not going back to dial-up. Broadband is the king and DSL and ADSL are the leaders in this niche.

DSL is the most popular option for residential users, because it uses regular phone lines, without tying up the phone. And with a single customer worth $300 to $500 a year to a DSL provider, DSL is a very generous niche indeed.

I’m not sure 100%, but I believe that you can also make some money from the sign-up fees for every customer you refer. You’ll need to check that with your individual DSL provider.

How To Rig Your Game

A study of all the Presidential elections in which there have been televised debates concluded that the men who get elected President are the tallest and exhibit the most testosterone. You can think about that, decide if you agree, and draw your own conclusions about last year's debates and election.

But it made me think that, in many cases, success winds up being predicated purely on only two or three or four key "X-Factors."

And I think most people mush on through their business activities without ever giving much thought to what the few, critical success factors are, and focusing on those.

MLS and FSBO - *** Niche

I’ve never seen MLS and FSBO on any high paying keyword lists, but these two acronyms perform very well for me. While the click average isn’t extremely high, the money keeps rolling in because site visitors view multiple ads. Here is why.

MLS stands for multiple listing service and basically, it’s a huge database where realtors list homes that are up for sale. FSBO stands for “for sale by owner”, which means that a house is being sold directly by the owner, so no realtor is involved.

MLS used to be controlled by the realtors, but not any longer. Any person who wants to sell the house without a real estate agent can now pay a flat fee (300 bucks usually) and get listed on MLS.
