One of the benefits of doing paid reviews for ReviewMe.Com (like this one) is that you get contacted by fairly interesting people you’ve never heard about. This time it’s Zac Johnson of ZacJohnson.Com.

Zac calls himself a “super affiliate”. I guess he did not read AOJon’s Why 1% Is Bigger Than 99% - A Message To Ad Networks & Self-Proclaiming Super Affiliates

Zac’s claim to fame comes from http://www.moneyreignnetwork.com/, which he started in 1998 while in highschool. What’s more interesting is that he paid out over $1000000 to affiliates before he graduated. He’s been profiled in Revenue Magazine as well.

Ok, so what’s ZacJohnson.Com? Basically it’s a personal blog by an affiliate marketer. A good one, but I don’t think I’ll be a frequent reader. How come? Too much personality (not in a bad way, though), too little specific content (and since I am an affiliate marketer as well, I always appreciate a good website on affiliate marketing).

Zac writes about merger mania and Jim Cramer, his girlfriend’s graduation, ClubPenguine.Com (awesome site, if you have kids), Chinese acrobats, etc. There is very little content that deals with affiliate networks specifically, aside mentioning networks like AuctionAds, etc.

I think Zac would get a great deal more readership if he was to publish the breakdown of his income by the source, like John Chow does. That’s something I’d like to see, rather then just claims of being a super affiliate.

Since Zac’s blog is only three months old, it’s a bit premature to do any forecasting, but I have a feeling that (despite all the negative comments I just wrote), this guy will become popular and join the ranks of numerous internet marketing gurus.

If you have an interesting business or a website, we'd love to profile it. And here is how you get a link from NicheGeek.Com.

I'm not sure why you seemed to have had so much hatred towards the site. From the review it does not seem like you went much further than the first page of posts. I would expect a little more for a $150 review. None the less... this is the reason why I have been testing the review me market.

Lastly, the blog is an informational site to help people. Giving blog readers some personal posts isn't a bad thing. If you went on to read through most of the blog, you would also see there are revenue / checks listed on the site. No need to list blog revenues when there are no ads on the blog.
